I'm trying to put my monkeyfaggot braincells to work. Any ships going to the Area would pass thru there. Are they protecting the skies to ensure the safe passage of their ships or prepared to drop bombs on enemy ships trying to enter the Mediterranean? Soemthing like that makes sense? Is there a similar map but for war ships? I remember suez canal generals had similar looking maps.
