all your choices are affected by your previous choices, your genetics and your upbringing
you might think you have free will, but all your actions are already set in stone by factors you had never control over

We have freewill.
If we did not, then all evil would be acceptable.

Because we have freewill, it is inevitable that we will do something that is contrary to God's will and nature.
That is why we need Jesus Christ.

He offers the gift of mercy and forgiveness for our sin, though if a person rejects that mercy, then divine retribution must fall on that person's head that justice may be done.

it's simple. if there is a god, then there is no free wiil since he mapped out every detail during creation. if there is no god then everything is random and you actually have limited free will

Your subconscience decides everything before you act on it. Whatever you do or don't do has already been decided by background processes and reflexes to stimulus.

the lack of free will is borne out of ignorance.
you only lack free will becuase you do not know what controls you yet.
free will doesn't have to "unpredictable"
just becuase we can say "I knew you were going to do that" doesn't mean you lack free will.
in this sense what people understand about free will is a lie.
I think its more of a fairy tale with little to no practicality in the real world.

the best theological arguments for free will are the soul making theodicy and what william james said about his argument from miracles.
