You see when communists came to Poland, a lot of them were jews. communists not being (mostly) very pro polish said "meh, as long as they strenghten the part it is okey". Thing is this time nationalists communists came to power (for like 12 months, till the rus told "wtf are you doing") and kicked the jews out again. They were telling me that their relatives survived death camps, and they came back home after WW2, and then they noticed with shock that Poles live in their houses.
