>>507768871 (OP)Realistically? Feminism and the "trad" conservatives who drive debate around gender issues both derive from the same assumption of men having agency and women having no agency, which therefore means that anything that happens can never be the fault of women, but it can be the fault of men. This isn't something most people will say, and they would probably deny it if you brought it up, but it's an implicit assumption that works in all of their subconscious' when they talk about issues relating to either of the sexes.
Therefore, women can't be wrong for taking advantage of lonely men, but those lonely men must be given all of the blame for supporting these "innocent" princesses who would otherwise be raising a family and making dinner or something. But then if you ask why those men are lonely to begin with and bring up female standards, they'll tell you that all men must be to blame because women are intelligent and mature, and that the real reason men are lonely is because they play video games and don't work. Oh, but you don't play video games and you have a job? Well, obviously then you must not be working hard enough for a good income.
This assumption which places all responsibility on men is hard to shake off because it basically controls the conversation. Many men are dupes, while many women will support it knowing it's bullshit because they can benefit off of it.
