They were completely BTFO after the Iran/Iraq war and they rebuilt to where they are now. Assuming their shit gets pushed in now they'll tech rush nukes with China/Russia rebuilding all their shit. If there's a protracted ground war instead then it becomes the graveyard of the US empire with China/Russia using them as a proxy to grind down US grunts like the US did to Russia in Ukraine. There's really no way to win this and Trump is playing himself by getting involved.
