>>507812243>Tucker tries a pedantic gotcha on the population of Iran and Ted calls him outThe population of a country you are planning on going to war with is not a "gotcha". Knowing the population size can give you a (very) rough knowledge of its potential combat force size, its reliance on infrastructure, how large its government will be, etc. Knowing its population combined with its geography will also give you a better idea of how its population is spread.
Iran's population is roughly 25% of the USA's. That's pretty fucking big, it's not like fucking Gibraltar.
>Tucker tries a pedantic gotcha on ethnicity and Ted answers it correctly but Tucker doubles down on his pedantry and asks about exact percentagesCruz said Iran is "Persian". Less than half of Iran's population is Persian. I'm willing to give more leeway on this one since its ethnicity is not as important as its population size, but again, he's saying he wants to go to war with this country, he should know these very basic questions.
>Ted turns it around to his preferred talking points makes the point that Iran are dangerous because they want to kill Trump, Tucker is flummoxed at having the tables turned on himTucker happily points out that Cruz obviously doesn't believe this, since if he had any proof about this the USA would have already declared war
>Ted says "we" are fighting Iran, meaning that he believes the USA does and should support Israel, then Tucker again resorts again to his pedantic tactics and picks up on the word "we" and tries to accuse Ted of something he didn't say and Ted clarifies what he meant without any trouble. If you're discussing war with another nation you need to pick your words carefully. Cruz's word choice did indeed make it sound like the US military had already conducted bombings with Israel.
