They also have networks of shills who operate seemingly "legitimate" accounts as well. Funny thing is that they pose as pretty much any demography.. even as children. They take it over the top sometimes though by getting overly technical while having a channel with only minecraft videos with no voice or other forms of communication.. just sterile game footage etc. They are always either empty or all the content is clearly of a character that shows absolutely 0 identifying factors.. or as one would say soul, even on old accounts. The main goal of these accounts is either to give weight to a specific topic or boost engagement on others. It is all rotten. A ton of them is also only made to ridicule a certain viewpoint. They come in, post a comment about how stupid opinion X is so that onlookers will fear the social stigma associated with being of the "wrong" opinion.

Such a thing is completely and utterly unenforceable. You can't stop people from building AIs that ignore your rules. I honestly believe AI is completely ruining many aspects of humanity and culture, but it's unstoppable. There's nothing that can be done to uninvent the idea. We're fucked and just going to have to learn to live with it

have you guys noticed the change in google in the recent years? it actively gaslights you if you are not searching for "approved" shit. it's went from infuriating, to funny. if you search for anything that might be even a little "problematic" it will bombard you with pages of the exact opposite of what you are looking for.

That is probably the route it will take. Online ID connected to your social security number, DNA or what have you. Because we must protect the children, stop scamming and force people to not cheat in video games. Also checkout will be easier in all your favorite stores and perhaps users of such identification methods will get a free bagel at checkout as well. Win-win.
On a more serious note though. I think youtube's reluctance to deal with bots has to do with certain political strategies that utilizes such methods and doing something about it might cause problems for that agenda.

Google is deliberately tanking their search results and making them shitty so that people will be more likely to "ask Gemini" than perform an old-fashioned Google search. Seriously. These companies are desperate to get you hooked on AI because AI is their next-generation search engine. Instead of feeding them one-line queries and following a link to somewhere else, your interaction will start and end with Gemini. You'll have full-fledged conversations with it (thus giving it access to more personal data) and it will keep you engaged with Google instead of a 3rd party. The AI will slip ads into its output. In a year or so you'll ask an AI "how do I solve this issue" and it'll give you a list of product recommendations to choose from. They're deliberately making Google search worse so that Gemini will seem better in comparison.

yes, for example yesterday I was researching the battle of Cholm. I did a series of very specific keyword searches, often involing multiple words. Google didn't even give me one fucking page of results. Instead, it said something like "The rest of the results might not be what you're looking for. See more anyway" Which is INSANE compared to early google I recall, where often times I would find that gold nugget on page 3, maybe page 7 of search results, or farther.

I used to be able to get any website I wanted with the "feeling lucky" feature, so much so that I made it my default search. For example I'd type something like "sein 3000 han list" and immediately get a frequency ordered list of Chinese characters, or "cayley dickson twist A0" and immediately get John W. Bales' journal paper. Now it won't even search for song lyrics verbatim. I hate it so much.

Intredasting video that. It really makes it clear that going forward everything will have to be questioned. One could almost suspect the creators of that content did it to make people aware. Some people are clueless retards though and even by looking at it still deny it because they want to associate themselves with the fabricated persona as his opinions mirrors their own even though they are all fake, ironically just like those virtue-signaling faggots who follow such figures. This is another part of the puzzle though.. how to differentiate real bots from human ones as they just copy it since they want to have the most popular (manufactured) opinions.

It did everything it was supposed to back then. You didn't have these weird problems where you would click "see more replies" on a comment and then the comment just disappears. Everything just worked exactly the way you expected and wanted it to. I still to this day do not understand why the UI designs of yesteryear had to be replaced with "dynamic" javascript bullshit, infinity scrolling, having every element pull data from AJAX calls after page load instead of just serving it in the initial request etc. Modern UIs fucking suck because they violate your expectations. You click "see more" on a comment, or you click the replies, and instead of seeing more, the whole thread just disappears because it wasn't kosher according to the algorithm. I know you know what I'm talking about.
Or how about when they replaced their straightforward subscription system with that stupid bullcrap where you have to "hit the notification bell" to continue seeing the content you subscribed to? And even that doesn't work some of the time.
Old UIs were simple, straightforward, and just did what you expected them to, without layers and layers of spyware, censorship, and shadowbanning BS built into it

I routinely have arguments with my dad where he says something retarded, and when I tell him that whatever he just said is retarded, he googles something close to the retarded thing he just said, and shows me a completely false AI regurgitation of the stupid thing he just said on the search page as "proof" of its factual accuracy.

I'm a /g/ nigger with pretty beefy hardware for running AI locally, which I've been doing since the Stable Diffusion v1.3 and LLaMA v1 models leaked on /g/ a couple of years ago—and a little bit before that, but to me those are the first two "landmark" models for image and text gen that were both publicly available in any capacity, and produced high enough quality output to be worthy of attention.
It's interesting technology as a toy, but it's a dreadful thought that people unironically rely on this slop to make real-world decisions. Either big tech achieves AGI within the next couple of years, or the superficially accurate and authoritative sounding, but secretly completely braindead AI we've got already is going to amplify the competency crisis a hundredfold as everyone starts to use it. ChatGPT (and to some extent other AI chatbots, but especially chatGPT) are trained to reinforce and "glaze" the user, because that's what's good for engagement. ChatGPT is like a conversation partner who never really challenges you and always tries to tell you what you want to hear. You can literally get ChatGPT to go along with just about anything.
Normies do NOT understand the tech or its limitations at all. Many normies think ChatGPT is literally conscious, as well as superintelligent because that's what it seems like to somebody who has 90 IQ. To a complete and utter retard, ChatGPT sounds like a genius, and it sounds like a person, so it might as well be conscious and alive. Retards now get to feel like they're smart, because they think AI closes the gap between their intelligence and that of actual smart people. They will accept whatever "AI" says without question or scrutiny, because to them, it's a superintelligent digital god.
That's the worst part about AI right now. Not the tech itself, but the way people misunderstand it and misapply it. The way people think it gives weight to their stupid ideas.

I remember in the past you could make friends gaming. I remember going on forums, and there were plenty of flame warsm but you could still talk with and get to know people. It seems like all of that faded away over time. The last friends I made online were on tf2 a decade ago, and all the forums have been consumed by 4chan, reddit, discord, and social media. The currency in your example can be upvotes and thus the feeling of being validated. You see this especially good on that site down the hall and first door to the left where they copy each other all the time just to achieve this.
Just think about how desperate and pathetic it really is. I agree completely.
My experience with LLMs is that the most interesting models are raw, untuned, foundational models. They have to be prompted completely differently, and they're harder to wrangle, but the output is much more interesting. By the time a model has gone through fine-tuning for chat, they always end up with so much positivity bias that they'll basically go along with anything that isn't something they've explicitly been trained to censor.
Sadly, even if they know they exist, normies have basically zero access to foundational models. But, that's by design, because if everyone had a chance to play with them, even normies would realize what the bot behind the curtain really is.

The expensiveness of a model does not scale linearly with with intelligence. As far as I know small models can reliably only be made by training them on bigger model outputs, which is what LLaMA is. But these models outside of the routine conversations and some benchmark tests I doubt are any smart. Lot of the benchmark models that OpenAI developed in the past years costed like several hundreds dollars per question, probably it was some early version of something like o1, and these models aren’t million times smarter then LLaMA.

It’s not to drive engagement from users who want hugboxes, because OpenAI loses money on free users. The real reason is to make it a good assistant, a dumb computer butler that will take your orders for the most part and rely on you the human user to be the expert, because users who use it for work or to setup calendar crap are the kind of people paying for the subscriptions, and they don’t want chatbot debating them on some bullshit while they are trying to work out something. Nobody who isn’t a retard uses chat bots to debate them or to gather higher ideas, this is why you go on the internet to give you the illusion that you are debating with real people.

I think it’s mostly that Twitter stopped censoring far right stuff along with lot of other sites. 4chan was pretty much the biggest site which allowed every racist and homophobic slur as well as every idea out there to be expressed. However when the floodgates back to Twitter got opened by Elon lot of 4channers left there because there were liberals to make fun of and debate while 4chan just has different kinds of rightwingers with occasional leftist baiters. As much as people here like to claim that only leftists desire online fighting, hence why Bluesky didn’t take over, it is simply true that even people here like debating someone on the opposite political spectrum on dumb stuff.

Recent analyses indicate that bots now make up the majority of internet traffic. As of 2024 and into 2025, automated and AI-powered bots account for approximately 51% of all web traffic, marking the first time bots have surpassed human-generated activity online[5][6]. This figure represents a sharp increase from previous years, where bots accounted for roughly 47–49.6% of internet traffic in 2022 and 2023[3][4].

Of this bot traffic, a significant proportion is considered malicious: in 2025, "bad bots" are estimated to make up 37% of all web traffic, up from 32% the previous year[5][6][3]. The remainder comes from "good bots," such as search engine crawlers and automated tools used for legitimate purposes[7].

In summary:

- Bots account for about 51% of all internet traffic as of 2025[5][6].
- Malicious bots make up 37% of total internet traffic, while the rest are benign or useful bots[5][3][7].
- The trend is rising, driven in part by advances in AI and automation[5][6].

These statistics highlight the growing dominance of automated activity on the internet and the increasing challenge of distinguishing between human and bot-generated traffic.

>FACIAL RECOGNITION CAMERAS CAN’T SEE THROUGH BALACLAVAS
Wanna know something fucked?
Many dyes are completely transparent to IR, which means that a lot of clothing is entirely transparent to IR, but you'd never be able to know without checking with an IR camera.
https://youtu.be/trRHTPnZh0M?t=206
Standard CMOS and (now-rare) CCD censors can see a little bit into the IR range, and the only reason they don't in consumer devices is that manufacturers intentionally insert an IR filter in front of the sensor.
Military drones could use normal, consumer-grade sensors, just without the IR filter, and could very well be able to see through a blacked-out face mask, as long as the facial recognition model was trained on wider spectrum source material. Of course, specialized IR sensors only cost a few bucks these days, and there also exist full-spectrum sensors that can pick up everything between IR and UV inclusive.
Don't trust that something that looks opaque to your eyes is also opaque to a machine.

>>507811427
The basis of all modern LLMs are text completion models. Literally just highly advanced autocomplete. Public-facing models always have additional training and/or content filters put in front of the text completion, but the "soul" of the model is always just text completion. "Stochastic parrot" is an apt term I've heard used.

The best way IMO is really just to download some foundational model your computer hardware can run and try playing around with it yourself.
I have no idea what sort of hardware you have access to, but a good place to start might be with a small model like this:
https://huggingface.co/meta-llama/Llama-3.2-3B
Using llama.cpp, any vaguely modern machine could run that on a CPU at bearable speeds, using e.g. a quant like this one.
https://huggingface.co/neopolita/llama-3.2-3b-gguf
Maybe use something like a free Google Colab instance if your hardware really sucks.

I've used and liked Ollama because it runs straight from the cmd. Llama 3.3, Genma 3, Mistral 3.1 nemo, Deepseek and Qwen, all 8B or the next bigger when 8B wasn't available.
The big names' (meta and google) are stiff asf and too PC, Deepseek and Qwen were also good and implied they'd be willing to update their training but Deepseek you immediately notice the political bias, The one that impressed me the most was Mistral, damn that thing can dish a good convo and if pushed right is also willing to update its learning.

if it took you 10 years to figure that out

then you probably do not know that

1. the world was on the brink of getting nuked 50 years ago

2. everything that led to the internet radio/tv is also dead, the dub actors the CGI everything is AI

so what's the deal there you ask ?

it all comes down to sex

it all always came down to sex

sex-economics

sex-fake-stats

incel-loser-vrigins get echo chambered

while

normie-extroverted-sex-having-communists live in eternal alternate life where the word computer is assistedly erased from their head along with anything that has slight ties to anything incel/virign/loser related

what's so scary about the fake comments, its not that it is fake, it is that you do not know which side you're on by systematic assignment, you do not know if you're the incel/virgin/loser ally or the chad/extroverted/communist/sex-having/brain-pre-programmer/

The majority of normies just post about their lives on Instagram, watch some videos on YouTube and scroll shorts on TikTok, without ever commenting, and then do irl stuff. I have met entire groups of normies who have never heard of people like Joe Rogan and Mr. Beast. Internet culture isn't as mainstream as you may think, being into stuff like that is as "socially weird" as it was 15 years ago, people just consume more online content. It's why most comments on big public posts on Facebook, YouTube videos etc. are by weirdos, boomers, ethnics etc., the average person doesn't engage much with content online beyond consuming it.

Fun fact: assuming you still have a Facebook account, go to FB, find some big post with lots of comments from a public page (the kind that appears on your feed regardless of whether you follow the page). Find the top-liked comments on the post and go to the people's profiles. Very often, like statistically implausibly so, they are trannies.

>The one that impressed me the most was Mistral, damn that thing can dish a good convo
Of all the pure LLMs (i.e. no CoT, MoE, etc) I've tried, I have personally liked the prose quality of models based on Mistral Small 24b the most as well (by a lot). I haven't got enough VRAM to run Mistral Large, so I've never tried, but I hear good things.

But, the point I was trying to make with that post is really to see what a "bad" model produces, and work your way up from there. A small 3B foundational model still uses exactly the same fundamental technology as whatever the hell ChatGPT uses these days, just scaled down by a factor of something like 100x, and without the fine-tuning to force it to mimic a human having a conversation.
After a 3B foundational, you can try an instruct-tuned 3B (with a chat template) and see what the difference is (and how it compares to commercial products like ChatGPT).
Stuff like what happens when the model has a brain fart and picks a really bad token, and then devolves into just shitting out random symbols, or suddenly picks a Chinese character and writes the rest of the response in Chinese for no reason, or starts trying to list something but ends up in "list mode" and literally never stops producing an increasingly incoherent list of things, or any of the million other ways an LLM can go "off the rails" and show just how stupid it really is, can be very enlightening.
Then you can try a 7B or 8B model and see how it's still basically the same as the 3B, just a little more clever and less likely to completely fuck up, and then like a 17B or 24B or 33B, and then 65B+ etc.

If you're able to really experiment with these things in that sort of way, you'd never make the brainlet mistake of thinking ANY LLM is actually sentient (or even sapient), or even that it ever has any fucking clue what it's talking about, and not just making a series of best guesses. Which is where the term "stochastic parrot" comes from.

Lot's of people use em dashes—it's a regular form of punctuation. It's effective for clearly conveying ideas, and more formal than using brackets—( or )—and also more easy on the eyes than semicolon—;—.

Just because someone is using them on a Youtube video, it doesn't mean they're using AI—who would go through all the work of asking the AI what to comment on a video?
