Finally you also have the Trump that exists on social media/TV. To a certain extent a boomer looking bad on social media is this-or-that to them, but with Television and Newspapers it's more important to them. (That's why he goes out of his way to shit talk NYT or CNN, etc. at every chance)

There are a few other psychological aspects to it, but it's mainly quid-pro-quo, and Trump's "supporters" also don't mean anything to him now.

He's in his 2nd term...he can't run for re-election. Whether his whole base turns against him or not literally doesn't matter. Why do people keep asking whether the Trump base likes his current policies or not? They literally do not matter at all in terms of electoral politics.

Trump was a once in a generation political figure (not unlike Obama desu) who was able to capture voters who wouldn't traditionally vote for a Republican or even vote at all. However, it's clear that the Republican Party never fundamentally changed and adopted Trumpian views, so, they don't care about the base. When the 2028 election rolls around, it's gonna go back to business as usual with politics. The 2028 election will be as boring as the 1996 or 2004 elections, which were arguably the most boring elections in the past 50 years
