I've found that once you start eating whole foods and eliminate all processed junk, your taste buds will adapt to them and you'll begin to appreciate the more delicate flavors more. You will also learn to enjoy fruit again.
A nice salad with leafy greens, tomatoes, peppers some beans and balsamic vinegar may seem bland to someone who eats processed crap all day, but to me it tastes really good.
