Turkish Zoomers never had to walk 10 km to get water from a well built in the ottoman era as late as 1999, they don't know how hard life was for their parents. They are developing an air-defence shield (HISAR and SIPER), they have some old (with bad CEP) ballistic missiles but they are developing much better new ones (called TAYFUN), they are working on upgrading their F16's with AESA radars and equipping them with native equivalents of Western missiles.

The main thing against them, is that most of this depends on Western tech. Even RUSSIA uses/used American chips on their S-400's! No one is immune to this, or completely independent.
