I think there's a lot more nuance to this topic than people of late are willing to admit. Obviously, there are a lot of benefits to being a member of the world's largest empire. I'm sitting here in the US with a top notch education, job, and incredible set of life experiences, and I can still look down on all of it because adult life isn't what I expected it to be. Yes, there are hard things about being an adult in the west; this is true. However, by putting your effort in the right places, it can still be extremely fulfilling — maybe moreso than living in a wore-torn country that promises "freedom".

Anyway, I'm still not a fan of our elites. I'm just adding nuance to the discussion.

However, I don't believe the elite are ready to flee, and they may not be ready to flee for the next 50+ years. What they will do instead is become isolationist, which means America may retain its source of power but direct it more on citizens instead of foreigners. If America becomes isolationist, and there is no true regime change, then expect it to become fascist. And no, it won't be "cool fascism" like fags on here think. It will be ugly and dystopian. Probably Cyberpunk-ish.

After that, who knows. Technology may decide the fate of America (and the world, by extension). Maybe tech will advance to the point that they can continue to withdraw and not worry about national borders. Or, maybe controls will be put on these things which will require that they have a base for producing and maintaining their futuristic machines (from robots to cryptocurrency makers), which may or may not cause them to move base from America to somewhere else. America has some good infrastructure but also a lot of bloat that they could avoid by restarting their regime somewhere else.
