A bit. But Iran’s facilities are in the middle of a desert. And the reactive byproducts are nowhere near as bad as the fallout from a nuclear explosion. Blowing up a centrifuge doesn’t spread as far and only spreads somewhat purified uranium.

I wouldn’t start rubbing my face on the sand. But it’s not going to be another Chernobyl.

Everyone hopes it’s underground so they can collapse it upon itself instead of spraying radioactive material everywhere from an explosion
Or they should

Nothing bad
The only bad outcome from bombing nuclear facilities is
If you bomb a nuclear reactor while it is still functioning
And end it cooling system
Resulting in a NUCLEAR MELTDOWN

But the good news is nuclear meltdowns are only bad for human beings
Nature recovers pretty well after a meltdown

Watch this video
How nature reclaimed Chernobyl
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XaUNhqnpiOE

So ultimately bombing nuclear facilities is good for the planet
we need more of it

>What's the difference, and since when do these big ass missiles have hydrogen warhead?
Almost none, fusion and fission do the same thing as far as they create a bunch of light elements and particles, in large part neutrons that fly everywhere
A lot of these flying atom chunks can react with other atoms to form new ones (isotopes) which are aren’t guaranteed to be stable, aka irradiated matter becomes radioactive itself
Radioactivity is proportional to the total mass of radioactive material which is only a few kilograms at worst for most bombs

retards, that's not how it works. Radiation all has to do with the size of the payload and the area it was distributed.
A large payload and wide area, low radiation per cubic meter - a large atomic bomb.
A small payload with a wide area, almost no radiation per cubic meter except at the epicenter, that’s what happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.
In the case of Iran’s facilities, a conventional explosion would not distribute radiation over a large area. Instead, it would result in a large payload, a small affected area, and dangerously high levels of radiation near the facility and surrounding region.

If we go deeper into it every fusion bomb in existence is a boosted fission bomb. The energies needed to fuse atoms can only be naturaly found within stars.

When a fission bomb detones the fireball reaches the temperatures of the core of the sun. A fussion bomb works by detonating a fission bomb to kick start a fussion reaction within the first fussion stage. Bigger bombs can have multiple stages each kickstardet by the previous.

And now i wait for mossad to strike my commieblock.

Both work by compression

Fission is a lot easier to achieve, chemical explosives like TNT or thermite can be enough to create a critical mass

Fusion had no concept of critical mass rather it’s only compression and more compression is better, H bombs work by fusing light elements (deuterium with tritium since it’s the easiest to fuse) using the energy from a fission nuke simply to compress the fusion fuel

Fission can detonate if you have a critical mass, it just means enough fissile atoms in proximity to each other. The way nukes work is they create a material with a lot of fissile elements but not so much it would explode instantly (which is a thing you could have a nuke that self detonates without compression if you have a solid lump of pure uranium 235) then they compress the solid metal with explosives to bring the atoms physically closer to each other, meaning the neutrons they spew hit other fissile atoms more often

As a result depending on how unsafe you’re willing to be you could have fission nukes with very little compression if you used nearly supercritical cores (very high % of u235)

i don't know man. if nuclear materials are released into the air and wind patterns send it to major cities it could be fucked for civilians. i'm thinking that this is why bombing the fuck out of their enrichment facility hasn't been done already.. the US is basically just posturing that we could knock it out, but i'm guessing they've done the calculus and determined that it would fuck shit up beyond just the enrichment facility. bad PR.

mind you, i was originally of the opinion of 'just bomb it'. further thinking leads me to believe that smarter guys have already weighed in and determined that it's not a good strategy. we did the cyber attack already when bombing was always an option. i have a feeling that bombing was never an answer. people have been thinking about this shit way longer than me.

Kekky roo roo.

https://www.reuters.com/world/china/iaea-report-says-iran-had-secret-activities-with-undeclared-nuclear-material-2025-05-31/

>A separate IAEA report sent to member states on Saturday said Iran's stock of uranium enriched to up to 60% purity, close to the roughly 90% of weapons grade, had grown by roughly half to 408.6 kg. That is enough, if enriched further, for nine nuclear weapons, according to an IAEA yardstick.
Both IAEA reports said enrichment to such a high level was "of serious concern" since it is the only country to do so without producing nuclear weapons.

That's because the bombs were air detonated, which means more destruction but not much lasting radiation. If you detonate at ground level then the earth gets infused with radioactivity and then sprayed everywhere.

That's wrong. Their undeclared sites didn't start popping up until the 90s. Their program in the 70s was backed by the US under the Atoms for Peace initiative, which WAS for nuclear energy. After the 90s, their program was covered in red tape. They've been hit with sanctions, hacks, assassinations, and had their program frozen from 2015 to 2019.

You think it's fucking easy to get away with trying to make a nuke when you have nuclear watchdogs and the most powerful country in the world surveilling you at all times? Of course the timeline is drawn out.

Why is everyone in this thread brown(dumb)?
The site is deep in the ground, when it gets hit, the bomb makes a hole and goes deep and explodes once it detects that its no longer tearing through earth. A plume will travel out of the hole the bunker buster bored, and it may contain radiation. under the earth, in the base, it will be a deathfest, likely the site will collapse killing everyone and entombing the rekt reactor(s). No real risk of radioactive contamination becoming widespread, since its underground.
You motherfuckers are really fucking dumb.

To be fair, the question posed was: what happens if you bomb a nuclear enrichment facility.

NOT what happens if you bomb a facility 300 feet underground. JEENIUS.

Hey faggot, where is the facility that is being questioned about located? It is implied to be the iranian facility so stop being brown-minded, if you can.

just local radiation leaks, no chain reaction so not like say a meltdown of a core reactor in a nuke plant

Yes, essentially.

Though if you say you're bombing nuclear facilities, but actually hit the ministry of social welfare, cause you just want to start a war against a country you don't like, the radiation is minimal.

Also, they don't like Iran. So if they accidentally hit actual nuclear facilities, it's not their problem. They're not planning to do a boots on the ground invasion anyway

Just build the nuclear enrichment facility using an old mine as the framework. US Bunker busters only penetrate a few hundred meters, but inside a mine shaft you can go miles.

Chances are that's what Iran is doing, and why all the kike attacks on their enrichment facility haven't done shit

Depending on the winds, Europe and Russia get irradiated from Fordo going up, or Asia or MENA.
