well what they've done is make it so that self defense against criminals is illegal and most people are shocked if you ever mention it. Then, they cast firearms as only being acceptable for the use of sport and hunting....but again, lots of people think its evil to shoot the poor little bunnies and cuddle bears and deer etc, so then theres a movement to limit that too. Then the medis and government has a field day making guns sound scary and evil (and silly - i mean, you think its ok to endanger the children just because you like to shoot paper targets??!!) so that the majority of people end up supporting the government every time it arbitrarily bans guns that have never been used to shoot anybody in the whole of canadian history.
