This is a pretty big deal, The Global Financial system is already on shaky ground, People are dealing with inflation and price increases.
Now imagine if gas prices double or triple.
While it not be the flashy type of response people here desire, this could royally fuck us over...not the Government, I'm talking us regular people.
So dumb. Iran has been '6 months away from a nuke' for 25 years now. Can we chalk that up with WMDs or Babies flung from incubators. Can't they just say the Elites want to kill more brown people and get it over with. We are stupid, but even we have limits.
Trump and the economy are in real trouble. He was handed a bag of shit and it is going to get worse. The national debt costs the US almost $2Trillion each year. That is more than Medicaid, Medicare and defense spending. Trump is fighting the whole world throwing his weight around and the US has to finance a $2Trillion deficit. It is madness to fight the people you need to loan you money. China, Japan, UK, Luxembourg and Canada are all the big debt buyers - he is trying to bully 4 of them and annex one of them.
You can look directly at the crippling of the economy on a chart versus oil prices. If they close the Strait you are looking at $200+ barrels of oil. It really is a good thing Trump "needs NOTHING from Canada" ... lol. We supply 25% of the crude usage at $5 below market value to our 'friend'. This is a direct pipe from Alberta to Texas refineries that can't be interrupted by war in the middle east.
Why authorize a war - and be proud of it - any momentum in the economy and bring jobs back rah rah just flew over our heads.

The world will remember for centuries how the Persians once had a chance to nuke Israel, and didn't
