Iranian nuclear weapons would be a stabilizing force in the Middle East and would ultimately benefit the United States by weakening Russian and Chinese influence in the region.

Especially after Russia's failure to support Iran, Iran would resist its influence and assert sovereignty far more if it had nukes.

I agree. America should have sought reconciliation with Iran following the 90s gulf war.
