My Great-Great-Granparents had seven kids and were literally dirt poor, they lived in a shack in the Appalachian mountains doing subsistence farming. One bad year and it was all over for my bloodline
you're full of shit, kids aren't seen as "useful" in a household, hence why they aren't being "made"
