Said less incorrectly, as the planet is filled to its capacity and the number of humans on it consume every single bit of energy that falls on the planet, a program to prevent the exponential expansion of humans will become an issue of survival.
Thanos was right. It's a simple calculus. There is only so many square feet of room on the earth for a number of illusions of existence. And so the: "Do what you feel" program of procreation will eventually be forced to yeild to the system of procreation that cells in your body are confined by. There is a growth, to a point, but then it stops, and procreation has to wait for the next galactic federation attack or wait for a change in the carrying capacity of the Earth, like say humans evolve to be smaller, or someone figures out how to make a trillion living spaces under the ocean and inside the planet itself.
