Defeating a population based insurgency in a country with 90+ million people is gonna be next to impossible. Depends on what you mean by "win," OP.

If the goal is just to neutralize the Iranian military and demolish their nuclear facilities, that would be pretty easy for us to do. If the goal is to occupy the country and try to force them into becoming a western-style liberal democracy, it would turn into another Iraq War where we waste 20 years and end up leaving things worse than before we started.

Most people are against the war and they're trying to use fundamentalist dispensationalism to justify it. I don't think anyone would say that the US is less radical than Iran or even Israel in this context. It has the same level of approval as Vietnam did and will likely end the same way. Being in the US doesn't automatically mean you agree with its policies flags aren't magic totems if the federal government thinks it can ignore public opinion and leverage national security then they represent themselves.
