Juneteenth was made into a holiday in attempt to placate blacks who were rioting because of George Floyd. Nearly same thing happened with Rodney King- blacks were rioting in LA, later that year Kwanza is pushed heavily as a legit holiday by the media and the schools (at least in the southwest). Without looking too much into it, I wouldn't doubt that we ended up with MLK day because of some other swarm of negros that happens every decade or so.
