I don't even get it at this point. Oil at cost is $4 a barrel which is about 5x cheaper than solar+batteries, but even the saudi's take a 10x markup so in reality it's 2x
The US is already the largest oil producer in the world and more and more cars and ships are being electrified every year. By 2040 most cars will be EVs. Even if this war is a super quick victory (it won't be). It wouldn't be economical until decades later (at which point oil will be much less valuable)
