Blue eyes are in fact brown
Blue eyes aren't really blue, they're in fact brown. What makes them look blue is the way that light scatters in the eyes.

The real reason our eyes are blue is because we live in higher latitudes where is gets dark in the winter months. So our eyes are adapted to see better in the dark because they scatter more light into our eyes. White skin enables us to absorb more of the sunlight so we get more vitamin D from the sun.

This is such pedantic sophistry. Every color we perceive is the result of what wavelengths of light are either refracted or absorbed. What color does a blue car appear to be in a room with only red illumination? Blue eyes are blue because of what wavelengths of light reach the viewer's eyes.

oxygen is blue. this is why both the sky and water are blue. ozone is exceptionally blue, and is known for blue ice in the artic and antartic.
>rayleigh scattering
just normal color shit actually. the scattering would be during sunrise or sunset when the sky is obviously a different color than blue, such as purple or orange. but, blue is the color of liquid oxygen, which is oxygen, and it is blue.
why does oxygen appear blue instead of another color?

This actually is kind of interesting with regard to people whose eyes are different colors depending on the time of day or what color clothes they're wearing. I always thought that was just an illusion caused by contrast, but now I'm wondering if light reflected off of colorful clothing (or light of different colors from the time of day or the color temperature of indoor lighting) causes that color to show up in the iris since it's mostly without pigment of its own.
