>>508089428The West was built on a triad of influences—Greek reason, Roman order, and Jewish moral vision—but it was Christianity that fused them and ultimately unbalanced them. Where Judaism emphasized law, limits, and a specific covenant rooted in peoplehood and responsibility, Christianity abstracted these into a universal salvation story based on internal belief and unconditional love. It replaced strength with softness, judgment with forgiveness, and law with sentiment. By spiritualizing the Jewish ethic and detaching it from land, tribe, and ritual discipline, Christianity turned moral obligation into vague compassion. In doing so, it created the framework for pathological altruism: loving enemies, tolerating the intolerable, and glorifying guilt. It took the sharp, grounded ethical code of Judaism and transformed it into an emotional instrument that empires, churches, and eventually NGOs could use to pacify and control.
The modern West didn’t fall because it abandoned Christianity—it fell because it followed Christianity’s universal logic to the point of self-erasure. It turned the sacred into the symbolic, the community into the crowd, and the prophet into the therapist. Now, the same moral language—dignity, inclusion, salvation—is used not to protect the weak but to dissolve identity, borders, and responsibility. Meanwhile, those who blame “Jewish influence” ignore that it was Christianity that globalized Jewish ethics while stripping them of their rootedness and restraint. The result is a moral system that cannot defend itself. If the West is collapsing, it is not because of its Jewish root—but because Christianity severed that root from its tribal, legal, and particularist core and replaced it with a universalized faith that has become too sentimental to survive.
