Smoke weed again (and again) to learn to deal with being high. To me it was an educational and even therapeutic change of pace from being sober. But I only started at 25 and gradually increased my consumption over the span of 5 years until I was a daily smoker, which lasted another 5 years until I quit. I did get depression, which coincided with starting weed usage, but there were other life factors which I deem to have had a bigger contribution.
Currently enjoying being sober, but I'm not planning on totally abstaining like this forever. Eventually would like to reap the benefits of occasionally being high without the drawbacks of being high all the time.

Also try psilocybin mushrooms. Research them and how to use them properly (right mindset, intentions and setting), be open to the psychedelic experience and where it takes you, and they can be extremely powerful in healing your mental state. What it does is make billions of random neural paths activate, reinforcing "side paths" from your main neural pathways across your entire brain, which helps immensely to break out of rigid thought patterns and just integrate everything that's in your brain together, leading to deeper understanding and insight.
And it tends to fix depression by giving you new perspectives on life, enabling you to better judge what really matters.

Smoking weed once, getting fucked cause you got scared of achieving a different state of mind which can feel rather uneasy, and then not pushing through but staying there for the rest of your life seems to me like a terrible idea. Smoke more and explore your mind a bit.
