Both have different endgame.
1. Bibi wants to postpone elections indefinitely, because he'll end up in prison on corruption charges after he loses power. So the retarded Hamas attack on October 7th was a godsend to him. Now he is escalating it into a forever war which will justify him staying in power as long as possible.
2. Putin wants to restore the Russian influence back to pre-1989 geographical limits. Meaning, he will keep his forever war until Russian troops are stationed at the Elbe river.
