That would probably drop from a height that I might be able to run from if I noticed it but I would imagine most of the time you wouldn't notice it in time. You cannot pass basic training if you are unable to hit a target this size on the range. It's flying directly at you in a straight line and it's LOUD. You know when it's coming, because you can hear it well before it's in range.

The hard truth is that russian infantry are just terrible shots, and are so acutely vulnerable to anti-infantry FPVs because they don't receive enough training to reliably land a shot under time pressure. There are no standards to pass/fail their basic training, you're just given a few days or maybe weeks if lucky to learn the basics and shed some vodka fat and you're shipped off. Both sides publish droning footage to gloat about turning men into gore but there's a disproportionate amount of successful anti-infantry drone strikes coming from the Ukrainian side and not from the Russian side, because the truth is that any competently trained soldier can hit an oncoming FPV drone well before contact. Hamas has been using the same kind of jerry-rigged FPVs that Ukraine used early in the war, and yet you don't hear horror stories from IDF about mass-casualties from droning. Because there aren't. Also Disc golf Discs. I can nail drones easy with an over hand shot but shotguns are way better since you have a bunch of follow up shots in case you miss. Theres a psychological factor to getting 1 disc off and if you miss you die. With a shotgun youre less stressed since you know you have follow up shots and can get them in when a drone bee lines your ass, and shotgun shells fly faster.

In a flat out race against a drone in an open field you won't outrun the drone, however you can use your agility through tight passage ways and urban environments to provide cover. If you LOS the drone and the operator has to keep searching for you then you can drain the battery. Also it's not a Mavic, it's a custom open source drone I made myself.

Given that I've talked with Dutch politicians about getting about 2-3x+ the amount of drones, here's some cursory and semi-deep advice. Your first line of defense is your fortress. This ranges from your sphere of influence. These drones can be taken out with air-defenses (expensive, save these for the big fish), EMP (excessive, but workable), a drone gun, impenetrable infrastructure, counter-drone kamikaze or combat and more.

The fight already starts with Cyberwarfare, information warfare and economic warfare. One would want to ensure their adversary can't even get to the point of getting these in sizeable numbers or at least not anywhere near you or critical allies. China is a wildcard here, they theoretically could make swarms given their rare metal access, however they are very vulnerable so they are better off providing these to better positioned proxies, with a sizeable chunk ready for defensive purposes.

These drones are more powerful than a nuke and used right, could take over a country without any human intervention, possibly even anonymously.

So realistically, you as an average person, what do you do? Internalize the following:
