>>508124998>IQ does not predict success in real lifeit indeed does not. in fact there was a study comparing IQ and economical as in different income brackets, sorry cba to find it so im going to paraphrase and you just have to take it at face value:
basically for the first 8/10 deciles there was very strong colleration of income and IQ going from low to above-average
after that the data fell apart quite a bit, in fact in very high IQ 140+ there wasnt much correlation anymore, suggesting that the highest IQs werent that interested in their income, i mean if you are some high iq history researcher you wont make much money, while some high iq tech bro on the other hand would. and on the other hand some midwit 120iq could become a doctor or banker, which pay well and require medium IQ, but wouldnt be interesting to any high IQ people especially a dull banker job which really solves nothing and doesnt produce anything, nor offer any mental challenge
and interestingly enough it stopped correlating in the top 2/10 deciles, the 9th decile the correlation was only weak and in the 10th, the top decile, the data was all over the place suggesting almost no correlation between IQ and income
That is the very richest people would be as likely to be complete retards than high IQ
What this could come down to is that in the 9/10 income brackets, everything except the highest one, people would need actually work for their living and often higher IQ lead to higher education and higher pay.
But the richest ones, it'd be down to other factors. It wasnt part of the study so thats unknown.
But maybe its people inheriting a lot? living on passive income from stocks etc other peoples labor. Getting lucky with shit like getting early on bitcoin or any such thing that could happen to anyone regardless of IQ.
Also if you are some tiktok star, moviestar, top bix nood rapper, etc. its not exactly high IQ either
I'll try if i can find the study
