We’ve probably all heard arguments in our lives about who Jesus/Yeshua was, what he looked like, etc ….

I say he looked like a sober, graceful Frank Zappa. Who was an American of Italian & Lebanese ancestry. Zappa has a facial profile which closely resembles the shroud of Turin.

So while it sounds funny, it’s roughly based on geography, biblical texts, as well as Levantine/jewish authors texts of the time.

Sure, Jesus lived in Galilee some of his life on earth, then went south to Samaria, among the samaritans, then went even further south to judea for some of his life on earth. In Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Jericho, and other judean towns/villages, etc.

But if biblical Jews of the time (mizrahim are their descendants, not Ashkenazim) who authored the books are to believed, Jesus father was a Roman solider named PANTERA / PANDERA , and his mother was a slut/whore from Galilee (according to Jews, not to me), from Nazareth specifically.

Galilee was not part of Judea; it was a more northernly kingdom, even farther north than Samaria. Which itself was north of Judea.

Jesus is often claimed by opposing groups, to be of Jewish origin, or “king of the Jews”

But by Jewish historic accounts, ancient texts, he is Galilean (Nazarene) and Roman. Or Galilean and also of divine origin, according to the vast majority of Christian denominations.

In any event, Jesus/Yeshua is also claimed by Jews to this day, to be one of three arch-enemies of Judaism, along with Titus & Balaam. And to be in Hell, boiling in hot excrement, since his time on earth.

I've read the account of his parentage being partially Roman. But there's almost no evidence to substantiate that. The true heritage and identity of the one we call Jesus of Nazareth is somewhat murky, but probably relatively mundane.

It’s doubtful any origin story has any more “proof” than the others, just some have more or less likelihood, in the context of the time in history, location, and cultural norms of the time.

It all boils down to BELIEF.
