>>508162711 (OP)I did. I was a protestant for a while, but after moving around the world several times, I found protestant Churches had no core beliefs. Every Church taught something different. It was the whim of the pastor, or the guy funding the Church, what that Churches message was. I really lost faith when I asked my Baptist minister for help finding a Church in my new location, and he recommended me a Church that was the opposite of what he had taught me.
I went with Orthodoxy for a while, and frankly loved it. The pastor there taught me a lot, it was truly spiritual, and I felt like I'd finally been praising God rather than learning about him. It was great, finding several Churches don't recognize each other, as well as the impossibility for a Council to be called to iron it out, made me realize there was something ultimately wrong.
I entered a Catholic Church, they tripped over themselves to teach me. They pulled an English speaking priest from another Church to give me one on one classes. It has authority. I'm still in love with the Byzantine Rite though, but thankfully, there's Eastern Catholics that are in full communion with the Pope.
If there's an Eastern Catholic Church near you, check it out. It's great.
