Vultures have such strong stomach acid that it can dissolve everything: bone, hair, everything (they also use it for defense - projectile vomiting sticky, horrible, burning, stomach contents if they feel threatened).
Normally wild animals that're fed human flesh will get a taste for human beings: the ganges river has a problem with man-eating turtles and catfish who've grown large and aggressive from feeding off of funeral pyres. Despite the fact that vultures are rather large birds, with big talons, and hooked beaks, they *NEVER* eat living creatures or people. Never ever. Vultures only eat the already deceased.
In this way I've always seen the vulture as kind of a respectable animal despite the unpleasant nature of their position.
