He's not. Israel was the name of a person. When he said those who bless Israel are blessed and those who curse Israel are cursed he was talking about a specific person who wrote a book of the Bible. It very clearly wasn't about some place that was going to be founded in the future. This is just jews' oldest trick. Steal a word and try to claim other things we're talking about them.
