Why are people afraid that Iran would close the Strait of Hormuz? Their "navy" is shit. Just drop a few more bombs and open it. Or even better: take it like we took Gaza. More territory for us. Huge profits.

it's 21 miles wide. All they need is artillary on the shoreline to be able to bomb any ships.

Boom goes a tanker and then there is no insurance for ships travelling that shipping lane.

Not wrong about the Hormuz part but nobody is interested in conquering Iran and "Greater Israel" is projected sandnigger cope.

Balkanising it is an option though.

nufags and propaganda, the history channel disappearing from what is used to be was a mistake. The last time Iran fucked around in that area they found out.

Iran will do the same as Ukraine did. Send small kamikadze naval drones and ramjet missiles. Some supersonics at the aircarriers, if they can pull the aiming off, too.

They have a big drone production capacity. They don't need to control the space, just shart cheap drones at everything that tries to pass and the area is effectively off-limits

>Cheap drones will surely overwhelm CIWS
I'm honestly shocked you believe this. Let alone the CIWS in the rest of the strike group. It's peak Copium.

Iran would likely use mines and missiles to close the strait. The area north of the strait is mountainous and easy to hide missile launchers in

hey stupid person
US navy stayed away from Yemen and couldn't even secure that passage from sandal-wearing Houthis, and you think US can somehow magically protect Strait of Hormuz from all the missiles and drones coming from Iran?

Iran closed the strait of Hormuz already in the past all they had to do is sink a few ships in the middle of it and its blocked,
Anonymous (ID: XOUGNMOU) United States No.508196825 [Report]

Yeah but most of that 21 miles wide is too shallow for big ships to pass thru, there is a narrow shipping channel deep enough for oil tankers & cargo ships, thats all they need to block, and they done it before a few years ago

>>508187989 (OP)
Deep draft ships like tankers and cargo ships have to use shipping channels like in this images show otherwise they risk running aground or scraping the bottom possibly damaging the rudder and propeller

In all these greater Israel maps, the borders stop just right before the arable land: Nile/Nile Delta and Trigris/Euphrates. Why would they annex a thousands miles of miles worth of useless desert but not go a few miles further to get useful land?

The reason their navy is weak is because they can't enrich uranium past 60% for a reactor in a sub or aircraft carrier.
