I don't doubt it was efficient in deterring anons from joining. What's the point? Everyone is fucking miserable. The only people I know who thoroughly enjoyed their time in the services were POG's. They sat at desks or did bullshit busy work, did their four then fucked off with their bennies. Every guy I know who did infantry has severe mental health problems and body issues.
