Bunker busters penetrate the ground with their sheer weight and blow up underground, throwing the soil up and out. The reason they work is because of the way multiple bunker busters can be dropped on the same point to "dig" into a underground target.

The Iranian facility has multiple entrances, the entrances are easy to collapse but there's nothing of value in or under them, the actual facility is directly under the mountain. So the americans would have had to basically drill through the entire height of the mountain.

And my suspicion is that the US didn't manage to hit the same point, at the same angle more than once, and so has destroyed rocks. The easiest way to confirm this would be to count the points of impact, multiple points = miss.
And the US could release the footage, but hasn't, so I'm inclined to say they missed. Trump doesn't care, he was just making a point.

I strongly suspect that the US is lying about every part of this, and they may have just assassinated the Iranian leadership with tomahawk missiles.
