Grains can be stored for decades if placed in a sealed container with oxygen absorbers and stored in a temperature-controlled area out of sunlight.
And nobody even said anything about seed oils. Cooking oils though can last up to 2 years under good conditions. with proper rotation you can always have a small stockpile on hand without any of it going bad.
