Good. Travel is too cheap. Too many poors have been at the beach recently. Unfortunately it's too late to save this Fourth of July because everyone's probably already booked their flights. Japan was also chock full of other tourists when I went. It'll be a gift from god if they all get priced out by airline ticket prices going up.

It doesnโ€™t matter if we produce oil here or not. If the global supply drops by 30% the price per barrel is going to the moon because itโ€™s sold in a global market. The oil companies will sell it at the going rate to the highest bidder.
And we mostly produce light sweet crude, while our refineries mostly need heavy crude. That means we export the one and import the other. So even if the net difference is small, weโ€™re still heavily dependent on oil imports to keep our refineries running.

Iran will continue to sell oil to china through the straight. They aren't closing it down for everybody.

This is essentially what places like iran want to do with the entire Indian ocean, and places like china want to do with the entire south china sea. They're nothing more than pirates with a loosely functional government.

Seriously, all this talk about who has bigger balls is just retarded coping mechanisms. This entire thing is escalating if it is finally formalized that the Strait is shut down. No one wins except the Military contractors and some special interests as always, our lives are just going to suck more. D's will take back power and we're going to be bathing in suck.
