The inflation was from the trillions in fraudulent loans and all the graft and corruption. The UBI checks didn't help either but they were a drop in the bucket to the PPP and other corruption. It was a bonanza of graft and was likely designed to further degrade the middle class (transfer wealth from honest people that didn't participate in speculation to those that do) People should be ashamed that participated in it.
