Leaving /pol/ forever: a serious debate
What are potential downsides of me never coming back here again and never thinking about politics unless there are elections or a declared state of emergency?
I mean, nothing ever happens. Even if I knew nothing of the conflict in the Middle East, or Ukraine, my life would have been exactly the same, I'd just have had more free time.

I mean, what would actually change? Would there be any sort of risk or problem in my life if I leave and never think about politics again?
I could come back when there's elections or a state of emergency, otherwise, why think about all this stuff?

>>508364227
I know, I'm just asking. Is there any benefit to being here?

I took a few years off of /pol/ and came back when Trump got elected. /pol/ is considerably worse than it ever has been.

So I can just leave forever? What's even the point in thinking about politics? I'm not a journalist or politician, they're not relevant to me making money. Neither do I have risky investments. Why care?

things do happen, eventually US will be in a war where you will be dragged to die for some Jew, but it might take 20 years.

Instead of thinking about how this board benefit to you you should think about how do you benefit to this board ?
This thread is trash, I learnt nothing, zero benefit.

I use this board because people would think I'm insane if I said it anywhere else. If you can leave, weren't younalready a fag?

There is benefit to spending time with your friends or girlfriend, there is benefit to building social connections, there is benefit to building your business, these are all things that have a lasting impact on you and that you will remember.
What does /pol/ do, outside of allow me to farm (You)s from brown third worlders? I've been here long enough, I learned about all the most commonly discussed topics. Now it's more of the same, but with a spin on recent events.

Sometimes I think: "Something will happen and if I'm on /pol/ I'll have an edge because I'll be able to better predict or understand it." But in all these years, nothing has ever happened. Even during COVID, /pol/ was wrong about everything in every single stage of the pandemic.

I left here for 2-3 years, nothing changed.
The 30 mins or so I spend on 4chins a day just went to do something else.
I mean, if you are terminally online on here multiple hours a day then yeah that's stupid as fuck and you need to get off and leave it behind.

Nothing
>upsides
You will feel a fuckton of times better unironically, not thinking about politics really heals the soul.

If you know what you know and know that you won't miss anything by not being where while missing something else by being here why are you asking people who are here if you should be elsewhere ?

It would probably make you happier son. You'd be more connected to the real world and have less of a mental burden. But if it is a place for you to express yourself, that's also helpful. It's best to have irl friends you can have real discussions with, but it's rare.
If I didn't use the internet, I think I'd pass the time with gardening and coral cultivation and studying. They're awesome. If you're going, have a more peaceful life.

You have been saying that will happen "soon" for as long as I can remember. And if it takes 20 years, will being in /pol/ help me in any way in the meantime?

>>508365009
Not to be an asshole, but 60-70% of pol is twitter screencaps. Even at "breaking the news", Musk's twitter is now better than this place. See picrelated.

>>508365340
I mean you had some opinions and you said them. Now what? Do you have to keep saying them here forever?

>>508365466
I like doing it in bursts, like staying away for 6 months/1 year and then spending 3-4 days almost entirely on 4chin.

To you, they are opinions. Then you should definitely leave. Quickly, in fact! Why are you still reading this? Normie society awaits!

Kek. You won't go anywhere because you're captivated by me. You're my slave. I literally control your life. I play you like I would a video game. And now, I leave you idle.

I'm not sure about that. Why are you guys here? Has being 'on top of global events' helped you in any way? I'm just asking.

>>508365587
So I can just do that, I guess. Just not think about politics again, or at least only think about politics briefly, once every 4 years. Yeah, I mean, why not?

>>508365752
I have real friends to have discussions with, they care about politics, but not as much as the brown mutts of /pol/. But even if I never talked about politics again and just focused on making money and keeping my little corner of the world pure, would anything bad even happen? I don't know, I don't think so.

Silly namefag, I'm just trying to see if there's any benefit to being "prepared and on top of current events".

There are no downsides. This board is a shithole full of sand niggers saying "kike" to ad nauseam and slop twitter screenshots. As for politics you aren't involved. It's all above your pay grade and you aren't consulted when decisions are taken. There's no point bothering with it.
