I feel the same. As a white woman nothing disgusts me more than men who refuse the draft. Refusing the draft is basically the number 1 way to guarantee you'll never have sex.

My Great Grandfather fought briefly in WW1 but got trench foot and was sent home. Likewise I was disappointed in lack of heroic tales. Now I realize how fucking gay that is.

My grandpa was a marine in WW II and he fought Japanese at Iwo Jima. If the atomic bomb didn't work, he was scheduled to be part of Operation Downfall or the land invasion of mainland Japan. I probably would not exist if not for the delightful shiny blasts of atomic bombs on our enemies.

It's interesting that Japanese women are pretty hot now and also Japan has little cartoon animals on their work construction signs. They sure became peaceful after a few blasts, huh?

My dad fought in Afghanistan among a few other places and got PTSD from it. I grew up seeing the trauma inflicted on him first-hand. It hits different when it's the middle of the night in a thunderstorm and lightning strikes nearby and you wake up to your dad ducking under the bed yelling "WHERE THE FUCK IS MY RIFLE?" and crying shortly after about having to shoot children that walked up to him holding hand grenades
War sucks, and I refuse to create more suffering by participating in that game of chess for rich sociopaths. People who romanticize it either want something from you, have never been, or both.
