At a certain age you lose the ability to function efficiently, meaning even with all the wisdom in the world you won’t be able to implement it properly and relate to 90% of the human population.

The key is a balance between wisdom and the ability to still remain somewhat youthful in your approach to implementing that wisdom. If you have too much of one side of the spectrum without the other, that’s when you get issues.

So why not put a cap for this type of position, of say, 62 years old if it has an 8 year term or so? Basically, just set up your position so that everyone is out of office by 73 at the oldest. That's pretty old, right? People start to have cognitive decline as early as their late 50s and definitely by their 70s, so you're have two functions basically, people getting extra experience making them better and wiser VERSUS their brains simply being less plastic and better and their bodies putting greater demands on their days.

We have guys in their mid 70s and 80s and they aren't even at the ends of their terms necessarily. That seems excessive- there's not much justification for such extensive ages.
