I think that concerns about this starting WW3 go a bit too far.
But I also believe that the United States cannot afford another protracted war/occupation after nearly two decades of previous wars/occupations that we couldn't afford and are still paying off.

Maybe America will simply lose on these three fronts gracefully and withdraw in shame but everyone is alive. Or America will expand the fronts and attempt a three front war, keeping Ukraine up, contesting Taiwan, and fighting through Iran.
