NONE. ZERO. It has folk tales and mythology, but the real deal actual history is completely nonexistent outside the Vedas and other old tales, and they are heavily formalized.

Some coins, some inscriptions. Most of which can't even be read. Not enough to piece together an actual history. What's up with that? Decipherment of their oldest script is still impossible.

Rig Veda, Ramayana, Mahabharata. That's it for Indian history pretty much. The latter two might not have taken place exclusively or even mostly in India and the various characters might not even be Indian.

Part of the issue was they used palm leaves for a writing substrate, and they rotted away pretty quick in the heat and humidity. So whatever written records did exist would have to be carefully copied and recopied all the time practically, a practice which was obviously not kept up with over time or we'd have more than a handful of them.

Tbf tho indians never had the superior intellect and intention to record stuff like superior civilizations such as the Chinese, europeans and Egyptians had. The primary cause was intention because the ruling caste and classes of pajeets never wanted to educate the lower caste or untouchables. So they kept it within their close circles. Because writing stuff was dangerous as it might get trickle down to lower sections of society and ultimately threatening their status-quo. On the other hand, it was British and French historians who rediscovered most of their ancient history. So india in a way was a British creation and even nationalist pajeets seethe when they hear this pov.
