It's traumatic. You are not shown nor do you get to experience a proper loving family. You are raised in turmoil and hasty decisionmaking, something that you pick up on and make as a habit for yourself. Your survival is put first over anything else. The parent you are with was either traumatized by their fiance&or mother, or they were the abuser, and you take on those characteristics or are also a victim of abuse.
Typically it's the mother who is the abuser, if you are a male, you receive the full force of that abuse, and if you are a female you learn how to be an abuser just like your mother. If you grow up with your father, it's usually a better outcome if he isn't a drunkard or drug abuser, but you still pick up the characteristics of an abused and torn person from your father. If you do not see your father similarly to how a person of faith sees God, then you will grow up being a non-achiever as I did.
A father is supposed to be a teacher, a leader, and a figure of strength to a child.

I have nothing coming to me, just death probably by my own hands. Actually, perhaps I misspoke a little. My dad took the time to try to teach me math when I was lagging and would get INCREDIBLY ANGRY when I didn't understand his retarded explanations, so I'd be sitting there with fear coursing through my veins, just trying to avoid his wrath. I sometimes wondered as a kid if he would someday snap and kill me in my sleep or something, but I'm older now and I realize he doesn't have it in him to kill anybody.

Both of my parents inspired some pretty fucked up feelings in myself, and I'm pretty sure that if there was a button to kill them both off cleanly and without reprocussion to myself I would have pressed that button right around the time COVID was a thing, and these retarded rulecucks were getting mad at me for not wearing a mask when it was mandated in the building we live in.

Neither of my parents did a good job indoctrinating me into society. I realized from a young age there's nothing to win from them and whatever the fuck happened to them is mostly a mystery, because even to this day I don't know anything too personal about their history.

I just try to stay away from snake oil sellers and work on the tougher shit, there's just no easy or quick way to fix or change decades long situations, some days are good, some not so much. Depression? Yeah I got those, I don't think you can completely fix that, specially if it is coming from parental issues, I just made the conscious choice of not engaging in self-destructive behavior, that helped with a bunch of things like addictions, but every person is different and of course, ymmv.

My children were great at 9 and 7. Doing brilliant in school, social and happy. Well adjusted. I took great care to ensure they were given every opportunity to develop.
Their mother abducted them to Poland without warning when I took time off work due to my dad having terminal cancer.
I didn't know where they were for years after that. We eventually found each other online again a few years ago. They are a complete mess. Their mother just didn't care for them. They stopped going to school, they live on monster and HHC. They both have mental health problems and social issues and I'm trying my best to get them back on track but they are broken deep down.
Women are dangerous to children. Family courts are bias and dangerous to children.
Custody should start at 50/50 no question in the event of a separation.
You can overlay the childhood mental health growth with the rise in separated parents and get a comprehensive answer of what's causing it. Women have too much power and too much sympathy.

No idea about motherless homes but I know fatherless. Women won't teach you anything, will expect you to magically know everything out of fucking nothing and will try to mold you for their convenience, not for competenve. Shit like constantly telling you to not touch stuff because it's dirty (because she'll have to do laundry later), and then get mad at you for your aversion to dirt and being hesitant to do manual jobs around the house. Not to mention no one ever taught you how to do most stuff. If I didn't come to realize this and stop listening to "advices" she's been telling me my whole life when I wad 20, I'd still be pathetic, useless shitstain. There is also chance she will neglect you to put on appearances in front of others because women care about image and how they are perceived more, and will prioritize guests comfort over her own kids. Women are also more willing to just throw money at problems thinking it'll solve them, meaning she's likely to send you off to some bullshit paid activities to think good of herself and potentially fulfill her own retarded ambitions with your life. And obviously one income gives you less opportunities. Now that I work as teacher and see how vastly superior lives kids with both parents have compared to mine, it's almost depression inducing. If I actually manage to find a wife and have my own kids, the moment she cheats, I'm killing her and other man, and the moment she files for divorce, I'm killing her and judge. You have only one proper chance at good family life and I refuse to continue cycle of dysfunction.
Now I'm trying to catch up by occasionally working with father or helping grandparents together but it's harder when you both have jobs and thus less time, and don't live together.
Politically it made me advocate for potentially restraining women's rights, and generally much more cynical, bitter and meritocratic.
