when i was a teen i was blown away by how well i thought king's books were written. i stopped reading as much in my 20s, then started again in my 30s. Tried reading his new work and thought what is this contrived garbage? must have jumped the shark. so for nostalgia i went back to reading his old books. turns out it was all contrived garbage the entire time, i was just too young and lacked intelligence back then to understand that.
