No. This is a generalisation but based on my experience parents tend to favour the child who resembles them the most. If the mother is a cunt bitch and the daughter is nice then the mother will hate the daughter because she doesn't understand how to be nice and it reminds her of her own flaws. If a father is athletic and he has two sons, one is a star athlete and the other isn't then take a wild guess at who his favourite will be. So parents don't always know their children best, their opinion of their children is filtered through their own ego.
