Those expenses are meaningless compared to the amount of equity someone will have in a house if they haven't just recently bought it before getting foreclosed on.
And if they have just recently bought it, they won't lose much because they haven't paid much. Even if you are underwater and owe more than the house is worth (not common) you will still just get to walk away, the rest of the debt just gets written off as part of the foreclosure.

Earlier this year was going to be a decently large housing project in LA but the Jew who owns the massive mall filed a complaint and now it’s in legal purgatory where it’s gonna take tens if not hundreds of millions of dollars to dispute.
