>>508493077 (OP)Cutting through the shit mist, corporations SHOULD pay taxes based on the burden they create on infrastructure and resources. Natural resources SHOULD be regulated as if they were the property of the country and not that of private owners. Corporate leaders who are paid for their rockstar talents SHOULD be taxed more because they aren't actually producing measurable results for the community, particularly if they moved up the ranks for being a dull, 6'4" lurch who always gets promoted for their talent of escorting people out of the building.
With that in mind, scientific research patents SHOULD be the property of the company or government that funded it. Authors and actors, bankers and stock investors SHOULD be paid and taxed based on the results of the product's income and not negotiated in advance based on name recognition.
This isn't about rewarding hard work. It's about rewarding those who take risks. This goes all the way down to your local office where sales reps guard their customers and expect new hires to get the trash cold calls until they pay their dues.
We have a democracy, but our economics is more monarchistic, and the monopolies have turned it into shit dynasties that aren't functional. Rome is about to fall, but it's not going to be the Senators that kill Caesar. It's the clueless Communists who don't know the crime lords from the folk heroes.
You're going to stay home and play computer games. You're not going to learn about your community. You're going to answer posts like this with a vacuous "lol" as if doing it anyway makes you the life of the party. OK? Done and done!
