There are multiple potential issues with this idea.
You seem to glorify veterancy because it involves putting your life on the line for something greater, but the fact of the risk to life is the key part of that honor. Veterans are people who have already served, and dead people can't vote. Branches like Coast Guard and Air force are widely known for being lower risk, sometimes smugly so. Meanwhile, it will be cowards and administrators and women "veterans" that did fuckall who will be most likely to live on to vote.
You also become government property when you sign up for the military. "Indoctrination" is an official and unironic term used to describe part of the process of making recruits into useful soldiers. The people who vote will be those who have been indoctrinated by whatever system controls the government and thereby the military. Those who show signs of not doing falling in line ideologically will become outcasts and likely discharged before they become veterans.
The types of people most likely to sign up for the military in modern times tend to be those who had no better ideas for how to contribute to anything or get a job. Many are openly only in it for the benefits like college and healthcare. The people who will be voting will be those who could not see a future for themselves without gibs.
As modern delusions have crept into government, and from government to military leadership and from leadership into culture, standards have fallen. To qualify and to serve may mean any number of things now, and veteran benefits tend to be on different tiers and scales. What kinds of discharges will be permitted to vote? Vax noncompliance? Pregnancy? It is possible they will leave those definitions up to the military rather than further constitutional law, and the military may re-define it whenever it likes.

What you're trying to say is that only people who sacrifice for the greater good should have voting privileges. My idea addresses this. Only people age 30 and older, in a marriage, and with children can vote. In addition, those who join the military before 30 can vote as well.

People divorced 2 or more times, cant vote. People who are welfare moms, cant vote. People who can't form relationships and families, can't vote. Radical feminists who hate men, cant form a marriage, etc. cant vote. Loser men who cant form a family, cant vote.

My system is better because it would be a society of wise and enlightened citizen soldiers, whereas your system would be completely 100 percent militarized and a young charismatic Alexander the great style officer at the age of 25 would take it over and lead the country to ruin
