Oddity and Strange Darling were pretty good movies in the sea of shit. Polyphia is the greatest band of all time. Video games suck, but that's OK.

Covid was supposed to kill billions but apparently China is full of fucking retards that can't even tie their own shoes properly.

The largest group of consumers for all media/entertainment etc is women.
So everything is made specifically for them these days.

That's why:
-TV shows are all soap opera bullshit
-Video games are all interactive TV shows with a focus on story, dumbed down mechanics, and no more fail states like dying/game overs etc. It's also why they're loaded with tutorials and yellow paint arrows etc because they are focus tested on women who find challenging gameplay gives them the ick

You grew up and started seeing the cracks you didn't see in the art you grew up with.

Most of the media we grew up on were poison sugar pills. Even outside that, nothing gold can stay. Nostalgia becomes tarnished with age. Nothing truly inspires hope or passion anymore, especially with so much ongoing disillusionment.

Its been a lot longer than 5 years. I haven't owned a TV or seen a movie in over a decade. It's all garbage now. I have my fancy gaming pc that gets used more for CAD than video games at this point.

You watch enough movies or TV shows you realize they are recycling the same plots over and over, telling those stories in the same way and it loses the magic. You notice the man behind the curtain operating the machinery and it ruins the trick.

Video games are doing just fine. The God of War 4 and Ragnarok were amazing. Although they did throw 3 black characters in there. But the main cast and characters were all white.

The Death Stranding series is probably the most creative and most unusual zombie rpg ever conceived. I'm watching Death Stranding 2 right now. It's incredible. The Dead Space and Silent Hill 2 remakes were incredible. The new Silent Hill F based in Japan looks very promising.

In the fighting world there is Street Fighter 6, King of Fighters 16, Tekken 8, Fatal Fury: Cityof Wolves.

There's a lot of good games out there.
