25th if you work in the private sector or 28th if you work in the public sector. Imagine living in a country where it's a complete rodeo when you get paid.

Monthly is good, I like it, teaches people to budget their money, which is a good trait for society to learn. The only thing where it sucks is if you do hourly, then you get paid monthly retroactively, so the 25th the month after. That shit sucked when I did small-time jobs in my younger days.

it's regulated by law to have money for given month be paid by 25th to make employers legally liable for delaying the pay
you're probably from some 3rd world shithole where employers play roulette wheel whether they feel like paying their employees this month so this common sense law sounds like madness to you

I used to live in Sweden. When my salary would come on the 25th I would go to pic rel and spend all of it then have no money for the whole next month

The actual payday doesnt matter that much because my salary is hefty now (48) but if I was poorer/earlier in my career this would suck, even weekly was a battle

But that's not the point, the point is this weird homogenous group think the swedes all love and defend

Nice chaiselongue sofa for sale
1300 DKK
Original price 5000, sits comfortably

>Julian
Jesus Christ, that’s insane. It looks like the cancer couch my grandfather chose to commit suicide on, that’s how disgusting it is. You should be ashamed for even trying to sell something like that. I have never in my life seen anything so gross. Just the thought that you can bring yourself to sell something so insanely nasty makes me lose faith in humanity. Shame on you, you sack.

>Anja
If you call my wife a sack again, I swear to God I’ll find you and stop you — I’ve got plenty of friends who drive trucks, so if you don’t stop now, it’s going to go real bad for you.

>Rikke
And now the threats This is going completely off the rails!

>Anja
I only make threats if you go after my wife
regards, Torben

>Julian
Your wife is a nasty pile of potatoes in a car seat. Shut up, you cancer-ridden old sack. You can go ahead and watch as my trucker friends roll right over your damn sofa. I’ll f*cking deflate the tires on your wife’s disgusting kitchen chair and clap my hands every time she moves. Nasty sack.

>Julian
I’ll strap that nasty wife’s kitchen chair to my car so tight it sticks to the back of my car, and I’ll just drive around with it

he genuinely believes that everyone receiving pay on same day is literally communism, or at least he tries to make it look like that
I'm starting to believe he has a small firm that employs some people and he hates this law because he'd love to skip a pay every now and then

Monthly is the norm in Funland as well, some firms do biweekly and though I guess it would be nice, monthly teaches you think ahead and manage your money better.

Most firms pay out on the last or first, but the 10th seems to be pretty common from anecdotal experience.

The idea is that you also get paid half of last months paycheck so if you quit and search for another job your old workplace has to still legally pay you what they owe you as they're technically behind on their paycheck while you're setting up another job.
Not agreeing with the idea, just saying they pay half of last month and half of the current month (cut around the 15th each month) but pay the 25th.
So you quit after the 15th, they still have to pay you
