>>508588394We think that its all down to your own conscience and being convinced in your own mind. sure, it does allow heretics to have their own little culty groups, or even for things like the social gospel etc to gain a hold on larger numbers, but thats part of the risk of freedom. In the end we'll all have to face Christ on His judgement seat and saying 'i did and believe X y and Z because the church told me to' isn't going to cut it.
There are papaly approved catholic organizations promulgating all the usually pro homosexuality stuff that you can hear in the liberal protestant churches. heres one:
https://outreach.faith/bible/
they say all the exact same stuff, and give all the exact same arguments about the Bible not saying faggotry is wrong. and its not been closed down by central decree.
all im saying is that there is a similar breadth of belief inside the roman church as outside and its controlled no more rigorously than occurs within protestant denominations before schisms take place, like with the several Lutheran groups and many others. the liberal wing pushes for the newthing, which is always against the Bible and tradition, the conservative group pushes back, and there will be a split because the liberals never back down. and on it goes. its just more obvious outside the roman church.
